Hello, my fellow pet parents. My name is Jamie. I have adored animals for as long as I can remember. My parents had a cat and dog when I was very young, but my dad was never a big animal fan. As a small kid, I pestered them long enough that they finally gave in and got me a hamster, who I named Penfold. As a teenager, I annoyed them into letting me adopt my cat Patches, who later moved with me to TX. I am convinced that being told “NO” to having pets as a kid only made me want them more!

A little more about me: I am a pharmacy technician with a cosmetology license. I made my way from the Southern Tier of NY to Austin, TX in 1999. In my spare time, you will probably find me at a hockey or baseball game with my husband, tending to my patio garden, or watching the entertaining bird feeder with our cats Apple Jacks (AJ) and Zeke (Zekie-poo).

I’m a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady, but I have a soft spot in my heart for all animals (except spiders – I’m a total arachnophobe). I’m a sucker for a wet nose and wagging tail! I’m so glad to have stumbled upon The Pet Gal and thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful team. Caring for your fur babies like they are my own is my goal. I will strive to give you peace of mind that your pets and home are in good hands while you’re away. I look forward to building long-lasting, trusting relationships with both you and your pets.
