Susan S.
Pet Gal Hutto
Howdy! My name is Susan and I am thrilled to be a Pet Gal. I grew up in the bayous of South Louisiana but have lived in the Austin area for 20 years. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Health Education and love learning and sharing ways to be physically, mentally and emotionally our best.
My husband will tell you that if there is a choice between a human and a dog to talk to – I’m headed straight for the dog!! I love animals and am a dog mom of 3 shelter pups – a poodle, a golden retriever mix and a rottie mix. They keep me hopping but bring me such joy. Over the years I’ve also owned a parakeet (8yrs) who could ‘talk’, a dwarf rabbit (10yrs) who thought he was a dog and 3 other shelter/rescue dogs. I am very in tuned with my pets which aided me in caring for 2.5 years for my diabetic dog (died at 14.5yrs.) and the aging needs of my border collie mix for 15.5 years.
Before I became a Pet Gal, I was a client. I was so impressed with the company and so comforted by the care my pets received that I applied for a job. I have exchanged pet care with my neighbors and friends for 25 yrs. so I know I will love meeting and caring for your fur babies and pets too.
